I purchased this overpriced cotton sleep mask because the regular satin masks make me sweat and I was desperate. I had high hopes for this mask. At $25 I figured it had to be good. The cotton material is very nice and felt comfortable to my skin. Unfortunately, the elastic band, which is a nice width, is too tight and causes the mask to sit tightly on top of your eyes. Even with it this tight, it does not block the light. One reason is because the light shows through around your nose and the second reason is because the material is too light (colored) to even block out the light. This mask is NOT worth the price. I think I will be better off getting a cheap satin mask and sewing over it with a light cotton fabric to make it more breathable.

I bought this sleep mask for my Mom when she was in the hospital and was bothered by the hall lights being on all the time. It was comfortable and I was able to wash it. I'll tell you it was the best thing I ever bought for her during those painful remaining days of her life. I can't count the number of times she thanked me. I kept it after she passed and remember it as one of the last-best things I was able to do for her.
